Barcelona continue their winning form

Barcelona continues its winning form as they race for the La Liga title. With the late victory from substitute Pedri, Barcelona increased their lead over second-place Girona to six points in La Liga.

The 20-year-old, who was making his 100th appearance for Barcelona across all competitions, scored on a tap-in from four yards out after Fulham loanee Paulo Gazzaniga bobbled a cross from Jordi Alba.

With this victory, Barcelona has now gone nine league games without a loss.

They are now in first place with 47 points, two ahead of Real Madrid (41 points) with a game in hand.

On Sunday at 20:00 GMT, second-place Real Madrid will host third-place Real Sociedad.

Despite only having two shots on goal the whole game, Girona is now in 12th place, four points above the relegation zone.
